New York discovers Coco Rosie
I actually listened to most of "The Adventures of Ghosthorse and Stillborn" on my way home yesterday and after several listens now, I've decided (drum roll please)... it's a decent album. There are a few wonderful songs, namely "Japan", but I think the Sisters Casady are starting to believe their own hype and getting a bit comfortable and we all know that's never good.
I can listen to Bianca's 1940's scratchy baby rap all day, I just want them to keep being bizarre because they are and not because it's whats expected of them.
Regardless, I don't think we're in danger of our losing our beloved Coco Rosie to mainstream America.
Either way, New York Magazine has emerged from their cave and discovered the band. Check out the interview in the new ish or
right here
I hear next week they'll be doing an exposé on some dude, Bright Eyes?
