Calla Lilies

Calla Lilies by photographer Karl Grobl
"I had been waiting perhaps 20 or 30 minutes for the light to come up over the rooftops behind me. Then it happened. For a moment I felt like Diego Rivera, but my canvas was a piece of film and my brush the early morning sunlight illuminating the scene unfolding before me. I shot six frames, then, just as quickly as she had materialized, she vanished."
