Drug Spotlight: Dilaudid®

Last time on random drug spotlight we snuck a peek into the world of Amitriptyline. Today, we'll sit back and relax with a handful of Dilaudid a.k.a. "drug store heroin"

Q) What be Dilaudid?

A) Dilaudid is an opiate narcotic pain killer with an addiction liability similar to that of morphine. It is apparent within 15 minutes and remains in effect for more than 5 hours. HOLLA! Dilaudid is approximately 8 times more potent on a milligram basis than morphine. Dilaudid is often called "drug store heroin" on the streets. It inhibits ascending pain pathways in Central Nervous System. Dilaudid also increases the pain threshold and alters pain perception.

Q) How Dilaudid be used?

A) Dilaudid is used in: needle, oral liquid, tablets, and suppositories. Suppositories?!

Dilaudid sells for $50 to $60 dollars PER PILL on the street. Use Dilaudid for 2 or 3 weeks and you're addicted, fucked.

Where do people go to find this on the street? Just curious. I have them and take them as part of a pain management program but I have never seen anyone trying to sell pills on the street before.
