Valkyrie is a true-story based on the July Plot of German army officers to assassinate Hitler. Tom Cruise will portray the leader of the plot, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg and Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, XMen, X2, Apt Pupil) directs. Check out the trailer. Upon finishing Valkyrie, Singer will jump directly into the upcoming Superman sequel (rumoured title: The Man of Steel) which will begin filming around March 2008.
Oh, and a biopic about director Roman Polanski is in the works.
