That was the day reality television was born, whether we realised it then or not.
If Roy Innis doesn't stand up and and strangle that dude, Jerry Springer would've never done a talk show. He would've stayed writing bad checks to hookers in Chicago.
I remember being home sick from school that day and I saw this go down, live. It was nuts.
But the best part of this video now is Geraldo saying "We'll take a break and we'll be right back" and then the little horn sounders that take you into a commercial.
Always a pro, that Geraldo.
