Former WABC program director and radio consultant John Mainelli's critique of the reborn Don Imus in today's "Inside Radio" brings up some good points.

NOW (National Organisation for Women) president Kim Gandy thinks Imus is being racist yet again by expecting his new black sidekicks Karith Foster and Tony Powell to be funny. Kim told Newsday yesterday,

“Why comedians? That’s the only thing women and blacks can do is be funny? I don’t find that encouraging.”
Oh, God help us all.
