What's The Frequency, Jay DeDapper?

NBC 4's political reporter Jay DeDapper got jumped the other night after his 11 o'clock news broadcast.

Dapper Jay was covering the Democratic debate for News Channel 4 at 11 when he stopped at a pizzeria on his way home. After he left, three teens jumped him, hitting him on the head and kicking him like a banshee.

But Dapper DeDapper fought back, and the tweens eventually fled.

Cops canvassed the area and found two teenagers who they said were responsible for the attack. Raul Ramirez, 18, of Forest Hills, and Francisco Gonzalez, 17, of Manhattan, were charged with attempted robbery and assault on a slender political reporter. Cops said they didn't have any weapons. DeScrapper was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital, where he was treated and released.

If it were Gabe Pressman we'd be dealing with three dead teenagers right now.

Earlier today Sugar Jay DeDapper released this statement:

"I am very grateful to the officers and detectives of the NYPD, the paramedics and medical personnel at St. Vincent's, and most of all the good Samaritans who came to my aid following the assault on me Monday night. I feel very fortunate to have sustained only bruises and cuts and not more serious injuries. I look forward to getting back to work on the Presidential campaign for News Channel 4 -- although the camera may not be ready for me as quickly as I would like."
A black eyed Jay DeDapper couldn't possibly be worse than that ghostface Melissa Russo.
