Garrison Keillor has a stalker

Legendary public radio host Garrison Keillor, host of the famous "A Prairie Home Companion," has gotten a Minnesota judge to issue a restraining order against a Georgia woman who he alleges has been calling, emailing, showing up at his home, and sending him bizarre gifts over the past six months.

According to the affidavit, Keillor first came into contact with Andrea Campbell, 43, in April while greeting fans after a performance of his show and noticed her "odd and overly-exuberant" behaviour.

In subsequent months, Keillor began receiving heavily perfumed packages at work containing among other things, "a petrified alligator's foot, dead beetles...rocks, marbles, rotting oranges" and magnets with his and Campbell's initials on them.

Keillor's next door neighbours in St. Paul found letters left for him and cigarette butts on their front porch. The stalker had been camping out there believing it was his home.

I guess she later figured out his actual home was next door and one night Garrison's wife heard rustling in the leaves outside their front window and they finally called the police.

Naturally the wonderful Smoking Gun has all the details and a scanned copy of the affidavit / restraining order.
