Brit Paper Declares We Are Now In The New Great Depression; Thanks, Fellas!

The same way Bush thinks he can say "Abracadabra... there is no recession" and POOF! the fear will vanish I find it odd how the talk of a recession or another "Great Depression" has become so speculative, subjective and suggestible. DRUDGE's big headline right now is about an article from a UK paper declaring 2008 in the U.S. the new Great Depression. Keep in mind the article was written by a staff writer from New York. The article appears in The Independent - a daily national published by Tony O'Reilly's Independent News & Media. it is one of the youngest UK national daily newspapers. "The stereotypical reader of The Independent is politically left-wing and a Liberal Democrat, or perhaps a Labour voter and interested in issues concerning the environment." Uh, oh! In recent years, The Indie often had critical, editorial-style front page spreads on Bush, Blair, and Israeli government policies. You may recall The Indie accused Israel of being guilty of using uranium-based shells in Lebanon which turned out to be false.

Read the article.... Food stamps are the symbol of poverty in the US. In the era of the credit crunch, a record 28 million Americans are now relying on them to survive – a sure sign the world's richest country faces economic crisis...continued...
